Dog Licensing Requirements
Kipling Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Center provides licenses for dogs. Jefferson County Colorado required all dogs over 4 months of age to be licensed in July, 2007. Six years later in July, 2013, Jefferson County transferred the administration of the county’s pet licensing program to the Foothills Animal Shelter in Lakewood, CO.
The dog license continues to help get your lost pet home and also provides funds to the Shelter to support the life-saving care they provide for thousands of homeless animals each year. For more information please visit the Jefferson County Sheriff’s website at:
