Dental Cleaning

With your pet under general anesthesia we can perform a complete dental prophylaxis. An ultrasonic and hand scaling are preformed on all patients above and below the gum line. Each tooth is checked for abscesses, cracks and fractures. The soft tissue is evaluated for gingival recession, masses and overall health.

Dental x-rays determine the health of the bone under the gum line and tooth roots. After all the plaque and calculi are removed, if no further procedures are needed, the teeth are then polished and an anti plaque or fluoride treatment is applied. If additional procedures are advised, we will have our technician call you while your pet is under anesthesia.
