Cystotomies- (surgically incising into the bladder)
Surgical removal of stones or uroliths from the urinary bladder. Dogs and cats can develop stones when the pH of their urine is not optimum. Typically these stones or uroliths do not dissolve or disappear on their own and need to be surgically removed. X rays are necessary to determine if your pet has stones. If diagnosed with urinary bladder stones, they will be put on a special diet to help prevent reformation.
